Privacy Policy
How we process the personal data of people who visit this site or contact us, and how you can exercise your rights.
This policy is governed by Chilean Law No. 19,628 on the protection of private life, as amended by Law No. 21,719 on the protection and processing of personal data. This is a translation; in case of discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.

2. What data we process and whose
People who visit this site
When you load any page, your browser sends technical connection data: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and operating system. Our infrastructure provider processes it to deliver the site and protect it. We do not keep our own logs of your browsing or use them to identify you.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, nor third-party scripts. The only information the site stores is your light or dark theme preference, and it stays in your browser: it is never sent to us. If we ever add measurement tools, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
People who contact us
If you write to us through a form on the site (the general contact form, the one on a partner page or an event registration form), we process your first and last name, email address, mobile phone number (if you give it to us), company, the content of your message and which page of the site you wrote from or which event you registered for. If you write to us by email, we also process any data you include in it (for example, your job title).
To prevent abuse, when you submit the form we temporarily store an irreversible hash of your IP address (never the IP itself), which we only use for one hour and which is then automatically deleted.
We do not process sensitive data, and this site is not directed at minors.
3. Why we use the data and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Deliver the site, keep it available and protect it from abuse or attacks. | Quintum's legitimate interest in running a secure and available website (art. 13(d)). |
| Answer your enquiries and manage any business relationship you start with us. | Pre-contractual steps taken at your request, or performance of a contract (art. 13(c)). |
| Manage your event registration and send you the information to take part. | Pre-contractual steps taken at your request, or performance of a contract (art. 13(c)). |
| Comply with legal and tax obligations or requests from authorities. | Legal obligation (art. 13(b)). |
When we process data on the basis of legitimate interest, you can always ask us for information about that processing and object to it.
4. Who we share the data with
We use providers that process data on our behalf and under our instructions:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): website hosting, infrastructure and delivery of contact form notifications (Amazon SES). Processes data in the United States.
- Google (Google Workspace): email. May process data in the United States and other countries.
- Salesforce: our CRM, where we record and manage the contacts that come in through the site's forms, including event registrations. Here it acts as a Quintum provider, not as a partner. Processes data in the United States.
We do not share event registration data with partners, even when an event is organized with one of them.
We do not sell or transfer personal data to third parties. We will only disclose it to an authority when the law requires it.
International transfer
The providers above process data in the United States, a country for which the Chilean Personal Data Protection Agency has not yet determined whether it offers an adequate level of protection. These transfers are made under each provider's data processing agreement, which contains contractual protection safeguards (art. 27(b)).
5. How long we keep the data
- Technical browsing data: we do not store it. Our infrastructure provider keeps it for limited periods, for operational and security purposes.
- Contact form and event registration data: automatically deleted from the site two years after submission. The copy in our CRM follows the period for emails and other contact data (next point).
- Emails and other contact data: for as long as the conversation or business relationship lasts, and up to two years after the last contact. We then delete it, unless a law requires us to keep it longer.
6. Source of the data
The data comes directly from you: from your browser when you visit the site, or from what you send us when you contact us. We do not obtain data from publicly available sources or from third parties for this site.
7. Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability and blocking of your data by writing to contacto@quintum.cl. State which right you want to exercise and include details that allow us to identify you; for erasure or objection, also state the reason.
- We will acknowledge receipt and reply in writing within 30 calendar days, which we may extend only once by another 30 calendar days.
- Rectification, erasure and objection are always free of charge. Access is free at least once per quarter.
- If we ever process your data based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
If we reject your request or do not reply in time, you can file a complaint with the Chilean Personal Data Protection Agency once Law No. 21,719 enters into force.
8. Automated decisions
We do not make automated decisions or build profiles that produce legal effects or significantly affect you.
9. Security measures
- Mandatory encrypted connection (HTTPS) across the whole site.
- Security headers that block unauthorised code execution and prevent the site from being embedded in other pages.
- Access to the site administration only for authorised staff, with authentication and role-based control.
- Least-privilege infrastructure: each component can only access what it needs.
- Data minimisation: the site keeps no browsing logs of its own and uses no tracking tools.
- The contact form is protected against automated submissions without third-party services.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will always publish the current version on this page, with its version number and last-updated date.
11. Contact
For any question about this policy or your data, write to contacto@quintum.cl or to our address: Pdte. Errázuriz 3949, Las Condes, Región Metropolitana, Chile.
